• Sad Max Senteney

    The founder of River to River Community Records, Sad Max has been making music around Southern Illinois for more than 15 years. And for the last 8 years, he has also been touring around the world with the Indiana country-blues powerhouse, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band. From being immersed in the international music scene for so long, Max Senteney realized just how unique and supportive this thriving Southern Illinois music scene is. With this record label, he wants to help connect all of the talented creators in this area and shine a light on the community that made him who he is.

  • Banjo Joe

    Banjo Joe is a well known character in the Southern Illinois region. Many folks will remember him as the front man for The Whistle Pigs, an insanely fun string band which recorded a couple great albums and toured around the country years ago. Now Banjo Joe is playing on his own and with his partner Danielle. He recorded his first batch of solo tunes to be the inaugural release for R2R Community Records.   • Eva Joy

    If you have heard the voice of Eva Joy, you surely haven’t forgotten it. She’s a singer/songwriter and actor from Southern Illinois who has a BFA in Musical Theater from SIUC. Since receiving her degree, Eva Joy has spent the last decade performing in musicals at different theaters across the US. All the while writing, performing and recording her own country songs as well. This combination of formal education and real world experience has allowed her to achieve near mastery of her voice. Eva Joy is known as the “First Lady of River to River Community Records” as she and founder Sad Max Senteney are partners in life, music and business.

  • Karve

    Karve is a solo music project from multi-instrumentalist, Kevin Ohlau. His contributions to the Southern Illinois music scene cannot be understated. Ohlau has collaborated with countless acts from the area. He has represented the region on a national scale while performing with his group The Black Fortys and he has lavished listeners with his thoughtful, searching compositions in bands such as Cave Futures and The Jewels. Ohlau also fans the creative flames of Southern Illinois by sharing his knowledge through private music lessons. It’s safe to say, the music community in So IL would not be the same if he wasn’t part of it.

  • Bulkington

    Bulkington is the solo project of writer / multi-instrumentalist Maximilian Martini. Max cut his teeth as a drummer and artist in the basements and bars of Southern Illinois, where he has been playing for almost twenty years in dozens of projects, including KELVEN, After Barbed Wire, Enchanters, Planet Witch, and many more. "Porcelain Country" is his first release as bulkington and as a solo artist. Max lives now in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he is forever regaling the locals with stories and songs about Little Egypt.

  • The People vs Hugh DeNeal

    Hugh DeNeal is known mostly as a singer and songwriter for the Trashcan Americana band, Woodbox Gang, and the subject of a documentary film, Confidence Man: The Hugh DeNeal Story. He now leads the group, The People vs Hugh DeNeal. The “People,” along with Hugh on guitar and vocals, are Evan Sims on ukulele, Nathan Graham on upright bass, Dakota Holden on electric guitar and pedal steel, and Greg Edwards on percussion.

  • Kasey Lee Rogers

    Kasey Lee Rogers is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist currently based in Marion, IL.

    Beginning at the ripe age of 15, he’s toured American and European punk rock houses and dive bars first as a drummer, and then in recent years as the stand-up bass player for the rockabilly band the Number 9 Blacktops.

    In 2020, Rogers recorded two of his singles with Nashville gunslinger Daniel Donato at the legendary Sound Emporium Studios and is gearing up for a fall of 22’ release available on all digital platforms and 7” vinyl.

    When not on the road promoting his country material, Kasey also plays guitar in Buzzzard, a somewhat bluesy stoner rock group.

  • Pet Mosquito

    Beaming in from Carbondale Illinois, PET MOSQUITO are a four piece garage/punk outfit set on making change and having a party while they do it. Influenced by early 70's proto punk bands and the aesthetic of garage groups of the 60’s, the band focus on upbeat simple melodies with an element of storytelling that is rarely seen in the punk genre. Although the band hail from middle of nowhere Illinois, that doesn’t stop them from getting on the road any chance they can get.

  • Hans Predator

    For many years now (nearing decades), Carbondale, Illinois’ Evan Neuman has been assembling various crews of questionable basement dwellers to gnash out his spacey garage-punk tunes.

  • The Cattails

    Cozy, heartfelt folk and country music from Carbondale, Illinois. The Cattails is a collaboration between longtime friends Eva Joy, Kendall Bell and Ben West. Their friendly stage presence will make you feel like you’re sitting with them around the fire. While their angelic three part harmonies make you think you’ve died and gone to heaven.

  • Lucas Wayne

    Lucas Wayne is a storyteller at heart, singing about the quirks of everyday characters and the experiences of growing up in rural eastern Kentucky and Southern Illinois. Classically trained, his vocal range and natural vibrato leaves crowds stunned. Wayne’s songs are simultaneously funny and devastatingly sad, captivating audiences in bars, halls and anywhere he can as a solo artist. He is touring now with his band The Cottonmouths whose members have toured extensively with Vince Herman Band, Rev Peyton’s Big Damn Band and many more.
